Once employees and pay items are set up, running an actual pay run is fairly quick. This assumes your file is already set up correctly for STP Phase 2 reporting – worth checking first if you have not confirmed that yet.

1. Start a new pay run

Select the pay period, and MYOB pulls in each employee based on their set pay details.

2. Adjusting hours and leave

Update hours worked, overtime or leave taken for the period before finalising.

3. Reviewing before you process it

Check total wages, tax withheld and super look correct before finalising the pay run.

4. Reporting through STP

Once processed, MYOB reports the pay run to the ATO through Single Touch Payroll, usually the same day.

MYOB’s official YouTube channel covers running a pay run: watch the official MYOB tutorial. Our registered BAS agents can run payroll for you if you would rather it was off your plate.
