Dext (formerly Receipt Bank) is the receipt and invoice capture tool we set up for most of our clients. Instead of a shoebox of receipts or hunting through your inbox for supplier invoices, you photograph a receipt on your phone or forward an invoice by email, and Dext extracts the data automatically and pushes it straight into Xero or QuickBooks.

What Dext Actually Does

  • Snap a photo, done. Take a photo of a receipt on the Dext app and the paper copy can go straight in the bin.
  • Forward invoices by email. Send supplier invoices to your personal Dext email address and they’re captured automatically, no manual entry needed.
  • Automatic data extraction. Dext reads the supplier, amount, date, and GST from each document and matches it to the right transaction in your accounting software.
  • Mileage tracking. If you’re on the road for work, Dext can track mileage claims too.
