Using Quotes and Recurring Invoices in MYOB
This is part of our Sales, Invoicing and Getting Paid series (Chapter 2 of the MYOB tutorial hub):
- Lesson 1: Creating and Sending Professional Invoices in MYOB
- Lesson 2: Setting Up Automated Payment Reminders in MYOB
- Lesson 3: Accepting Online Payments and Tap to Pay in MYOB
- Lesson 4: Using Quotes and Recurring Invoices in MYOB
Whether you quote jobs before winning them or bill the same client regularly, MYOB has tools for both that save you re-entering the same information.
1. Creating a quote
Build a quote the same way as an invoice, then send it to your customer for approval.
2. Converting an accepted quote
Once accepted, convert the quote directly into an invoice without retyping the details.
3. Setting up a recurring invoice
For regular billing, such as a retainer arrangement, set an invoice to repeat automatically at a set frequency.
4. Reviewing your recurring list periodically
Check your list of recurring invoices every so often to make sure nothing outdated is still running for a client whose arrangement has changed.
MYOB Academy has guides on both quotes and recurring invoices: watch the official MYOB tutorial. Our offsite bookkeeping service can help set these up correctly.
We'll only use it to follow up on your feedback \u2014 never for anything else.
