Connecting Dext to MYOB

This is part of our Publishing to Your Accounting Software series (Chapter 4 of the Dext tutorial hub):

  • Lesson 1: Connecting Dext to Xero
  • Lesson 2: Connecting Dext to QuickBooks Online
  • Lesson 3: Connecting Dext to MYOB
  • Lesson 4: Reviewing and Publishing Documents Safely in Dext
  • Lesson 5: Setting the Right GST Codes Before Publishing from Dext

Connecting Dext to MYOB lets coded documents publish straight through into your MYOB file.

1. Authorising the connection

From Dext’s settings, connect to MYOB and log in to authorise access.

2. Syncing categories and suppliers

Once connected, your existing categories and supplier list sync through, so coding aligns with your current MYOB setup.

3. Checking GST codes line up

Confirm your tax codes match correctly between the two systems before publishing anything in bulk.

4. Testing with one document first

Publish a single document to confirm it lands correctly before processing a full batch.

Dext’s Help Centre has a MYOB setup guide: help.dext.com. Our registered BAS agents can help get this connection set up correctly.
