Connecting Bank Feeds in MYOB via Open Banking
This is part of our Banking and Reconciliation series (Chapter 3 of the MYOB tutorial hub):
- Lesson 1: Connecting Bank Feeds in MYOB via Open Banking
- Lesson 2: Matching and Categorising Bank Transactions in MYOB
- Lesson 3: Setting Up Bank Rules in MYOB
- Lesson 4: How to Do Your Bank Reconciliation Correctly in MYOB
A connected bank feed is what makes MYOB save you real time, rather than manually entering every transaction.
1. Find the Banking hub
From the main menu, the Banking section is where you connect and manage your bank feeds.
2. Connecting via Open Banking
MYOB uses Open Banking to securely connect your account, authorising the connection through your own bank’s login process.
3. Waiting for transactions to arrive
Once connected, transactions typically start flowing in within a day or two.
4. If your bank is not supported
Some smaller or regional banks are not yet supported, in which case you can import a statement file manually as a fallback.
MYOB Academy has a Bank Reconciliations course covering feeds and reconciliation: watch the official MYOB tutorial. Our offsite bookkeeping team can help troubleshoot if your feed will not connect.
We'll only use it to follow up on your feedback \u2014 never for anything else.
