Bulk Uploading Receipts of All Sizes to Dext

This is part of our Capturing Documents series (Chapter 2 of the Dext tutorial hub):

  • Lesson 1: Snapping Receipts with the Dext Mobile App
  • Lesson 2: Submitting Documents to Dext by Email and Upload
  • Lesson 3: Auto-Fetching Invoices with Dext Fetch
  • Lesson 4: Bulk Uploading Receipts of All Sizes to Dext

If you have a shoebox or folder of receipts that have piled up, Dext can process them in bulk rather than one at a time.

1. Scanning or photographing a batch

Multiple documents can be photographed or scanned together and uploaded as a batch for Dext to split and process individually.

2. Uploading through the web portal

For a larger backlog, the web portal’s drag and drop upload is usually quicker than the mobile app one at a time.

3. Giving extraction time to process

A large batch takes a little longer to process than a single receipt, so allow some time before reviewing.

4. Reviewing in manageable batches

Rather than reviewing everything at once, working through extracted documents in smaller batches is less overwhelming.

Dext’s official YouTube channel covers bulk uploading: watch the official Dext tutorial. If you have a backlog to clear, our rescue bookkeeping service can help you catch up.
