Auto-Fetching Invoices with Dext Fetch
This is part of our Capturing Documents series (Chapter 2 of the Dext tutorial hub):
- Lesson 1: Snapping Receipts with the Dext Mobile App
- Lesson 2: Submitting Documents to Dext by Email and Upload
- Lesson 3: Auto-Fetching Invoices with Dext Fetch
- Lesson 4: Bulk Uploading Receipts of All Sizes to Dext
For suppliers you order from regularly online, Fetch connections mean you never have to manually download and upload their invoices again.
1. What Fetch connections actually do
Once connected to a supplier portal, Dext automatically retrieves new invoices as they are issued.
2. Setting up a connection
From within Dext, you search for the supplier and authorise the connection using your existing portal login.
3. Checking which suppliers are supported
Common trade suppliers and utility providers are often supported, but it is worth checking the current list rather than assuming.
4. Reviewing fetched documents like any other
Fetched invoices still go through the same review and coding process as anything captured manually.
Dext’s Help Centre covers Fetch connections in detail: watch the official Dext tutorial. Our tradie bookkeeping service can help identify which of your suppliers are worth connecting.
We'll only use it to follow up on your feedback \u2014 never for anything else.
