MYOB builds most of your Activity Statement automatically from how you have coded transactions through the period.
1. Finding your BAS report
Under Reports, look for the BAS or Activity Statement report, which pulls figures based on your GST settings.
2. Review every figure, not just the total
Check GST on sales, GST on purchases and PAYG withholding individually, not just the final amount owing.
3. Make sure everything is reconciled first
A BAS built from unreconciled transactions will be wrong, so complete your bank reconciliation before finalising it.
4. Locking the period once lodged
Locking a lodged period helps prevent accidental changes to transactions already reported.
MYOB Academy covers preparing your BAS: academy.myob.com. Our registered BAS agents can review and lodge this for you each period.
We'll only use it to follow up on your feedback \u2014 never for anything else.
