Super payments in QuickBooks are processed through a clearing house, and which one you use matters more with Payday Super now in effect.

1. What a clearing house actually does

It takes one payment from you and distributes it correctly across each employee’s individual super fund.

2. Choosing a clearing house

Compare the provider’s processing times, cut-off times, fees, and how it handles failed payments. Choose a service that can get contributions to employees’ funds within the required timeframe.

3. The Payday Super rule

Since 1 July 2026, super must reach employees’ funds within 7 business days of each payday. Quarterly super has ended.

4. Confirming your setup is ready

Check that your clearing house can process payments quickly enough for funds to arrive within 7 business days after each payday. Ask the provider about cut-off times, failed payments, and processing delays.
